Misty scenery at . Hastings Castle is a keep and bailey castle ruin situated in the town of Hastings, East Sussex. It overlooks the English Channel, into which large parts of the castle have fallen over the years. The construction of Hastings Castle depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry , showing the raising of an earthen motte topped by a wooden palisade and was built upon order of William the Conqueror.

Oh, I always been fascinated by the Battle of Hastings and so much wanted to visit this place, it seems beautiful.

@ambivalena@pixelfed.global It is and especially with the fog around, it was quite mystical. Indeed the place the battle took place is some miles away and called, well, "Battle" where the Abbey was built in favor of William.
